The first few years Jacob and I were married we made the rounds for the holidays- hitting every family for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. As much as we love our families, we soon realized that was no way to spend the holidays- driving back and forth between Albany and Washougal. So we made a plan: Thanksgiving in Camas/Washougal to see both sides of my extended family, Christmas Eve with my mom's side of the family and Christmas day with Jake's immeadiate family. There's still a fair amount of driving, but not as crazy as we once were.

This year, my dad's extended family got together early (instead of on Christmas Day as usual). We were thrilled to be able to attend for the first time in many years!
