Walk-a-Thon

Drew had his first big school event, the annual Walk-a-Thon. He came home with a new school t-shirt (in his favorite color) and a medal. He ran 20 laps during his time, and his teacher informed me that he RAN the whole time! (I would have loved to watch, but they wouldn't let me because my volunteer form and background check have not been processed yet.)

As far as the Walk-a-Thon goes, it really is my least favorite type of fundraiser. I would much rather sell wrapping paper than call up friends and family and ask them to give money in support of my child running around a track. We wrote a small check so Drew would have something to turn in with his pledge card, and skipped the harassing of loved ones this time around. But, if we end up selling wrapping paper...watch out, you're on my hit list!
