We couldn't have picked a hotter weekend to head toward central Oregon, but it was still a wonderful weekend! We started the weekend off on Thursday with a trip to Golfsmith to get Drew his first set of clubs, and boy was he delighted! (Audrey was pretty tickled with her new pink putter as well.) The campground was nothing special, but we spent much of our two full days in the area exploring and enjoying the scenery from the air conditioned car between stops. On Friday we headed out driving the Cascade Lakes Hwy checking out campgrounds with better water access, and finally ended up with a picnic lunch and swimming at Todd Lake - a mountain lake located at 6,500 feet nestled between Bachelor and Broken Top mountains. After a day out in the heat, we headed to Sunriver for a round of mini-golf and ice cream at Goodies. Saturday we spent exploring Paulina Lake then headed into Bend for a late lunch.
